WHAT YOU CAN DO
Backroom
There’s plenty to do behind the scenes too.
Helping Behind the Scenes
Not every contribution to the River Foss Society involves getting into the river or working along its banks. Much of the Society’s work depends on volunteers who help behind the scenes with organisation, administration, communications and planning.
From helping with membership and events to newsletters, publicity, website updates and record keeping, there are many ways to support the Society using skills you may already have. Whether you can offer regular help or occasional support, your time can make a real difference.

More Ways to Make a Difference
Not everyone wants to pull on waders or spend a morning working on the riverbank. The Society also relies on people who can lend a hand with the many practical tasks that keep everything running.
You might enjoy organising events, helping with membership, writing or editing, taking photographs, updating information, keeping records or simply lending an extra pair of hands when something needs doing.
You don’t need to make a major commitment. Whether you can help regularly or just occasionally, we’d be delighted to hear from you.
